Tokyo Subway Map Provides Inspiration for Common Core Alignment

For those looking for the perfect Common Core map of a teacher's duties and obligations, Tokyo Metro has done it. They delineate the nine lines with 179 stops, where travelers can transfer, in addition to the Toei, to dozens of privately owned rail lines, dozens of Japan Rail commuter trains, and the Shinkansen bullet trains.

Schemes sent out to teachers from Common Core executors are no less convoluted. Teachers get a barrage of schemes from Achieve, NGA, CCSS, US ED (used), Fordham, and other subsidiaries of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-- telling them which way to write their lesson objectives, how to use technology correctly, demonstrate their high qualifications, track the students, etc. etc. And if they miss any of the multitude of Common Core-approved gates on any given day, a coach, inspector, or other Functionary of the State will declare them out of alignment.
