Testing Gone Nuts At A Connecticut Elementary School

Ohanian Comment:

Rick Green provides damning excerpts from the state investigation [pdf file] into CMT cheating at a Waterbury elementary school, which lays the blame for out-of-control CMT mania and a pattern of erasing wrong answers at the feet of principal Maria Moulthrop.

I can't reproduce his column because most of it is photo images. The title of the state report gives you a clue of how detailed and specific it is: Regarding Allegations of Testing Irregularities During the 2011 Connecticut Mastery Test at Hopewell Elementary School, Waterbury Public Schools

The report goes far beyond test administration and erasures but also details the systematic elimination of non-tested subjects and giving children incessant test prep lessons.
