Ask Yourself Why SETDA Is Supporting NCLB
Below, the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) offers the money required for the placement of corporate logos on their website, conference materials, news bulletins sent to members, and so on. While reading this, you might ask yourself what SETDA expects to get from their fullsome support of NCLB.
What follows is taken directly from the SETDA website:
SETDA is the principal association representing the state directors for educational technology.
SETDA promotes national leadership in educational technology to support achievement in lifelong learning, provides professional development for state educational technology directors and builds partnerships to advance learning opportunities and improve student achievement through technology.
State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) is pleased to announce the delivery of its first National Leadership Institute Toolkit entitled States Helping States Implement No Child Left Behind.
Welcome Members of the Corporate Community
SETDA is enthusiastic about collaborating with you to establish meaningful and appropriate projects, events, and programs that benefit State Educational Technology Directors. The over-arching goal is to insure the effective integration of technology into schools and classrooms across the United States. We look forward to creating venues for useful dialogue between your company and the SETDA membership.
SETDA offers Platinum, Gold, and Ad-Hoc levels of sponsorship.
We seek to forge strong relationships with corporations who share our desire to collaborate as equal partners at the inception phase of product development.
These public-private relationships will establish meaningful projects, events, and programs that benefit state ed-tech directors and our corporate partners alike. The end-goal being to provide schools with effective tools that help teachers successfully integrate technology into classrooms across the United States.
SETDA provides annual and event-driven sponsorships that are designed to facilitate useful discussions and relationships without the traditional roles of buyers and sellers. It is our goal to foster early dialogue about the development of technology products for schools. To achieve this goal and to keep all companies on equal footing with our membership, SETDA has developed general parameters for doing business.
Build Relationships with State Level Educators
Through participation as a SETDA annual or ad-hoc sponsor, your company will receive opportunities to meet and talk with SETDA members from 50 states and 2 territories. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in product demonstrations and structured conversations that we forget what is most important to marketing at a state level…building relationships! SETDA understands this, and provides numerous informal networking opportunities in which members of the corporate community can participate.
Receive Product Specific Feedback
Annual sponsors have the opportunity to participate in the SETDA Emerging Technologies Forum. This one-day event embodies SETDA’s intention to forge strong and lasting relationships with the corporate community. As products and services are being developed for the K-12 market, State Directors of Technology seek to provide input that may enhance your company’s offerings and increase your product’s effectiveness and utilization in the classroom.
Logo Placement & Branding
SETDA sponsors are afforded generous logo placement on our Website, conference materials and signage. The logos are a consistent reminder of your support of state directors as they meet the challenges of implementing No Child Left Behind. Your support of SETDA, directly impacts the services we provide to state directors as they create tools, discuss best practices, and share information state-to-state about the challenges, successes and pitfalls of their day-to-day responsibilities.
Receive Information Useful in Selling to States and Districts
SETDA distributes a monthly newsletter to members of the corporate community that provides tips for helping strengthen communication and build trust among state directors and the vendor community. When appropriate, SETDA also provides sponsors with speakers for sales events, panel discussions, and other venues.
SETDA is providing year-round benefits at two levels. As an annual Platinum or Gold sponsor, your company will receive recognition among state directors as a strong supporter of their efforts to incorporate technology into classrooms nationwide.
Each platinum level company will receive all of the annual benefits listed below for the participation fee of $25,000 annually.
