Orwell Award Announcement SusanOhanian.Org Home

I am not going to post a wedding announcement on this site, but it is truly an outrage. The "Vows" column in the Sunday Times picks one chi chi wedding to cover in depth. This time they chose a couple who are employed in the media industry who met in a pre-kindergarten classroom at an Upper West Side school. Both people were married.

The Times runs a picture of the happy newly-formedcouple right after the ceremony, with the children from their previous unions at their sides.

The former husband is incensed, telling a Forbes blog, "People lie and cheat and steal all the time. That's a fact of life. But rarely does a national news organization give them an unverified megaphone to whitewash it."

The item has provoked 139 comments. Funny that the Times allows comments on its wedding coverage but not on its education coverage.
