Stand for Children Job Opening in Colorado--for Those With No Conscience

Stand for Children is two separate organizations: a 501(c)(4) grassroots advocacy organization, Stand for Children, and a 501(c)(3) leadership and training organization, Stand for Children Leadership Center. With national offices in Portland and Boston, the two entities are jointly led by CEO Jonah Edelman. Currently, Stand for Children has seven state affiliates: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Oregon, Tennessee and Washington, and has plans to expand.

Watch out! They may be moving in on your state soon.

In a mid-December article in Substance, Jim Vail documented the way Stand for Children dumped money into the Illinois elections in November 2010. Vail points to other actions by this group funded by the billionaires' club.

And now we see that although Waiting for Superman was shut out of Oscar nomination, the billionaires are reviving it as a way to influence parents in Denver. . . with an emphasis, it seems, on Latino parents.
