No Politician Ever Gets Headlines by Saying Teachers Are Smart Mr. Paige and his supporters believe that colleges of education spend too much time on classroom management and teaching techniques and not enough on things such as math, literature and science. "Too many education programs require too much focus on theory," Mr. Paige said. Ohanian comment First they declare, "Students are stupid!" Then they declare, "Teachers are stupid, and parents aren't doing so well either." Then they declare, "Colleges of Education are stupid!"
