The Feds Whistle a Happy Tune The song, written by Christopher Cerf and Sarah Bruce Durkee, whose children’s show, “Between the Lions,” receives a $4 million grant from the Education Department. According to an item in the NY Times the federal Department of Education is considering having students sing the song when Secretary of Education Rod Paige visits schools and playing it for callers when the department puts them on hold.
