[Susan notes: We need to follow Bill Archer's example and speak out to NPR and other venues that give Duncan a free ride.]

To Talk of the Nation:

The nation's public school system is again under siege; this time by Education Secretary Arne Duncan who himself is not qualified to be certified as a classroom teacher in any school district in any of the states of our nation. It's time to talk truth to power and stop expecting a different result from a continued application of failing processes. After eight years of the Bush brothers' destructive choice, charter, voucher and high-stakes testing process, sold as an education reform, it is an insult to take a continuation of the same policies seriously. And to take it from an Education Secretary who is not qualified to teach in any public school classroom in the US, adds to the insult.
