Re "Kennedy Seeks Her Footing as Schools' Rainmaker" (news article, June 4):



It is quite admirable that Caroline Kennedy is trying to raise money for our beleaguered New York City public school system.



But as is so often the case, her children attend private schools.



It would go a long way toward solving the problems of the public school systems across the United States if all of our well-educated, affluent citizens, particularly our politicians, sent their children to public schools.



If this happened, think of the resources that would flow to the public schools. Then we could truly say we had a system of education where "no child was left behind" instead of the two-tiered system that exists today.
