To the editor
Former Governor Crist stopped the push to subjugate teachers by Jeb Bush and other Republican ideologues who want to turn public education into a privately run business for their cronies. With Republicans clearly in the majority Mr. Thomas ("Grudge Against Public Education Gets More Clear As Republican Majority Is Poised To Administer Teacher Demeaning Policie") nearly gloats aloud as they are finally poised to bring down traditional public education. If Mike Thomas comes out on his chosen winning side, it won't be because good sense prevailed in the transparently political victory. It will only show the obsession that he has for a politically distorted mentality that places winning ahead of the common good that public education provides to all; not just to the few who want to profit from its destruction.
