[Susan notes: We need to hit hard and hit often on this issue of greed. Kudos.]

Paul Greenberg's March 30 column, "The summer sequel nobody wants to see," misses the mark. He says the problem with the economy is Obama's reaction to today's events; he says Obama's economic policy is like his foreign policy.

What he avoids saying is that there is an unwillingness to call a stop to the forces of political greed. Instead, leaders preserve laws that let the wealthy avoid paying their fair share. Middle America struggles to compensate for the lack of revenue at great personal sacrifice, while the real tax dodgers avoid their national fiscal and moral responsibilities -- and the country is quickly losing its stability from their greedy lack of fair participation.

Let the sequel reflect a scene, instead, of a country's people united in resurrecting their nation's prominence. They should act under the forgotten banner of "we the people," rather than the flag of "we the few, rich and irresponsible, riding on the backs of the impoverished many."
