Re This Lady Liberty Is a Las Vegas Teenager (front page, April 15):

The Postal Service got it dead right when its latest stamp substituted the Statue of Liberty in Las Vegas for the one that overlooks Ellis Island. As a nation, we no longer care about "the homeless, tempest-tost." Instead, we reward gambling bankers with multimillion-dollar salaries, and tax cuts to boot. Give up, Emma Lazarus!
