[Susan notes: Catch them doing something good, especially when you can still make your point about poverty.]
To the editor
Kudos to principal Patrick Galatowitsch ("Homeless, but Finding Sanctuary at School", May 2, 2011) who sees the great potential of books. The problem is poverty, but in a society unwilling to face this fact, getting books into the hands of homeless children is certainly a good second-tier solution. I've done my part. I sent dollars for books to Mr. Galatowitsch, who will deliver the goods.
