Re: Dark Market for Personal Data: The White House and the US Department of Education hold yearly Datapalooza gatherings (their term), where datapreneurs sell their latest imperatives for data-driven education.



The US Department of Education and the National Governors Association have set up public school classrooms as data-collection centers--amassing information ranging from tardiness to test refusal to a parent's significant other. And this data will follow a kid FOREVER. Who's protecting the eight-year-olds' right to be secure in his person, papers, and effects?
