A recent editorial says that “the exit exam is to do what it was supposed to do: put pressure on schools and students to improve performance.” FUSD is now flexing its muscles by announcing reassignments intended to scare principals into whipping their students and teachers to improve performance. And how is performance defined? Test scores, test scores and more scores. This is nothing more than an addiction, addiction, addiction!
