Chicago School Reform: First Dump the Librarian. . .

Student population: 95 Black, 4% Latino

2013 Report Card: 356 students attended this school. 98.9% were from low-income households, and 5.6% were homeless.

March 21, 2014 Chicago Public Schools administration announced that it will 'turn around' McNair (and two other low-performing schools) at the end of this school year by firing all staff there, from the janitors to the principal. Students will continue at the schools.

First the librarian was dumped, along with art and music teachers. Now everybody must go.
