Senator Kennedy Walked Into a Bar. . .

Here you can read about Margaret Spellings' bar adventures.

by Susan Ohanian

Senator Ted Kennedy, chair of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, walked into a bar, carrying a suitcase. He ordered a drink, gulped it down, looked into his suitcase, ordered another drink, gulped it down, looked into his suitcase, ordered another drink, gulped it down, looked into his suitcase.

Finally, the bartender asked, "Why do you look into your suitcase after every drink? What's in it?"

"It's a copy of the NCLB reauthorization proposal, and when it starts looking good to me, I know it's time to go home!"
