NCLB Outrages

The Time to Act is NOW!!

Please don't put it off any longer. Phone or fax NOW!

Have you called or faxed your Congressional representatives about NCLB? If you write, do not write to the D. C. address as mail is sidetracked for lengthy periods for anthrax investigation. Your Congressional reps have local offices in the state. Write there.

Some members of Congress claim they haven't heard from their constituents. Please phone, fax, or write. Please tell everyone you know to do the same. DON'T present a laundry list of grievances. DO be specific. Tell them what has happened to your child, your nephew, your neighbor, your school.

So far, NCLB changes suggested by members of Congress and many education groups are just tinkering. Some even make the law worse.

For talking points, take a look the reasons more than 30,000 educators and parents are calling for the end of NCLB.

You can find phone and fax info for your representatives here and here. If you are telephoning, you also can reach members (via staff) at their DC offices, through the Capitol switchboard:
