Let's Lose the Tunnel Vision

Does anyone see a connection between allowing people to be tortured and an education consisting of test prep and no physical education. They both come down to demeaning the human spirit.

What is happening in New York regarding school closings has already been happening in Chicago. We need to educate ourselves in a broad sense. We will lose if our tunnel vision only sees New York City and not the complete picture. The mayor and chancellor are not waking up in the morning and deciding to close down schools. This is part of a broad policy financed by corporate foundations to control the education or lack thereof of our kids.

No Child Left Behind is an important issue that affects everyone and presidential candidates need to promise to abolish it. Mentioning Ron Paul for instance, he would shut down the federal department of education and that would be a plus, since it is just a tool for the foundations.

Let's focus on where all of these candidates stand and who is funding them.

How about the issue of torture? Does anyone see a connection between allowing people to be tortured and an education consisting of test prep and no physical education. They both come down to demeaning the human spirit.

The psychology that creates this educational system need to be challenged. It is no coincidence that teachers are leaving the classroom in record numbers.

If an adult can't stand it, what effect must it have on children?
