North Carolina Test Refuser will be on Room 101 June 4

Longtime Nebraska Social Studies teacher Michael Baker hosts a weekly radio program, Room 101. Dedicated to "double-plus relevant" issues regarding public education, featuring deliberations and discussion with guests and listeners. Each week, Michael interviews a prominent figure, someone with strong feelings about education, and invites call-in questions. You can listen online. You can phone in.

Doug Ward, the North Carolina teacher who recently said, I need to stand up and practice what I teach," will be on Michael's program on June 4. For Doug, practicing what he teaches meant refusing to administer the state test.
