If You Cannot Find Osama, Test the Kids

Remember? First posted in 2003, by now, this is a Golden Oldie. Sing it to the tune of "If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands."

If you cannot find Osama, test the kids.
If the market hurt your Mama, test the kids.
If the CEOs are liars
Putting schools on funeral pyres,
Screaming, "Vouchers we desire!"
Test the kids.

That verse was omitted from the recording, but here's the rest of the song available on CD: No Child Left Behind? Bring Back the Joy

Test the Kids!

No Child left Behind says âTest the Kids.
While Teachers are maligned, Test the kids!
If the CEOs are liars, put the kids feet to the fire,
Shouting âVouchers we desire!â
Test the kids!

If your schools they are crumbling, test the kids.
And Congress it is bumbling, test the kids.
Business wants more competition
And public school demolition.
Itâs a hunting expedition.
Test the kids!

If 3rd graders they donât pass
Test the Kids!
Reading First keeps them last?
Test the Kids!
If kindergartners lose their recess
Just to study for the big test,
Turning schools into a real mess
Test the kids!

If test scores are mistaken
Test the kids!
And the companies they are fakinâ?
Test the kids!
When itâs their fault that kids fail
Losing test scores in the mail
Put those responsible in jail!
Test the kids!

In higher math they must advance
Test the kids!
But they may not sing or dance.
Test the kids!
If your school it is so boring
Kids donât get up in the morning
And the test scores still arenât soaring
Test the kids!
