NCLB Outrages

Michigan Educators See Through NCLB Scam

. . .At least a few local school officials, such as Mike Barlow, director of curriculum for the Hazel Park district, say the federal government is setting public schools up for failure to further open the door to a voucher system.

"In our district we welcome accountability," Barlow said. "We embrace the many challenges that are presented us in education. However, Education Yes and No Child Left Behind are fraught with politics. The intent is to dismantle the public education system.

"They talk about choice for parents. Choice has become the code word for vouchers. Parochial schools do not have to put up with any of the shenanigans the government is requiring the public schools to go through."
