DIBAVEC : A Word for Our Time

DIBAVEC: A term for the millions of primary grade children who have been denied picture books so their early education can qualify as "scientific" according to U. S. Department of Education guidelines.

Overly obedient and patterned to following scripts, Dibavecs are easy prey for exploitation.

The term is derived from pseudoscientific DIBELS and from the French avec, "dibbled with."
